For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. For all you are the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch, and be sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:3-6

And a people with their leader that shall come, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation. And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fail: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end.

Daniel 9: 26-27

Is something in the air? The below is just a brief list of articles summarizing some of the activities that are taking place this week, which are related to Israel and the Trump/Kushner “Peace” Plan. See also and

1/21/20 “The United States’s peace team – Jared Kushner, senior adviser to the president; Avi Berkowitz, special representative for international negotiation; and Brian Hook, special representative for Iran — is holding a series of meetings with Middle East officials and other relevant leaders to discuss a possible rollout of the US administration peace plan. The three are currently attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, where they are expected to stay until Wednesday, before traveling to Israel to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz.Earlier this week, Berkowitz also met with Middle East officials in London to discuss the plan, The Jerusalem Post had learned. The sensitive talks are taking place amid growing speculations that the administration could introduce the deal in the upcoming days. While no decision has been made, it is likely that US President Donald Trump will decide whether to release the plan in the coming days in order to avoid making the announcement too close to Israel’s elections in March.”

1/21/20 Gantz changes course, calls on Trump to release Middle East peace plan prior to Israel’s March elections. “U.S. and Israeli officials expect Trump to decide within days whether to release the plan before March.”

1/21/20 Putin makes “historic” visit to Bethlehem this week. “Putin is among dozens of world leaders scheduled to visit Jerusalem this week to participate in the Fifth World Holocaust Forum at Yad Vashem.”

1/21/20 “Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, will visit Israel later this week in what most Israeli pundits assume is a “preparation visit” ahead of the peace plan’s release. Kushner’s close aide Avi Berkowitz, who is leading efforts on the plan inside the White House, was in Israel just two weeks ago. It was after this visit that rumors about the peace plan’s imminent release began to surface in the Israeli media.”

1/21/20 “Officials told Axios there were several factors that would influence the decision, including developments in the president’s impeachment and conversations Kushner has with Middle Eastern and other world leaders during the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, and then with Israeli leaders in Jerusalem.

Publishing the move now could be a boost to Netanyahu, especially if it is favorable to Israel, possibly easing some of the pressure on the prime minister stemming from the attorney general’s announcement that he will indict him on corruption charges.”

1/19/20 French President Emmanuel Macron will be among world leaders attending the World Holocaust Forum in Jerusalem this week.

1/20/20 “In June 2018, 70 years after Britain quit its mandate in Palestine, Prince William became the first member of Britain’s royal family to pay a state visit to Israel. Less than two years later, his father – Prince Charles – is arriving Wednesday night for his first extended visit to attend the Fifth World Holocaust Forum marking 75 years since the Red Army’s liberation of Auschwitz … Seemingly just like that, visits by members of the royal family have come from something that Israel yearned for as a sign of international legitimacy (for so long the British royals traveled everywhere else in the region, but would not step foot here), to the new normal.”

I’ve always thought Daniel 8:25 was super interesting: “According to his will, and craft shall be successful in his hand: and his heart shall be puffed up, and in the abundance of all things he shall kill many: and he shall rise up against the prince of princes, and shall be broken without hand.” That’s the Douay-Rheims translation, which is a little tough to understand. For instance, what does “in the abundance of all things he shall kill many” mean? The King James version says “and by peace shall destroy many.” Other versions say “he shall destroy many in a time of peace.” I think it may be a some sort of combination of the two.

Is this “the” (false) “Peace” Plan that we’ve been waiting thousands of years to see? I don’t know. If it is … the ramifications of that are dire. I’m fairly confident of one thing, however: they’re going to need a war to sell it.

Is it “the” Peace Plan? What do you think?
